No. WordPress cannot be hosted on a Brilliant Directories account.

The hosting account that runs the directory is meant for the directory alone, and no third-party software, including WordPress, can be installed there. Brilliant Directories cannot guarantee the security of third-party platforms such as WordPress, so hosting them would put the website, and the other websites on the same server, at risk.

Show the directory inside an existing WordPress website

A directory can be shown inside a WordPress website that is hosted elsewhere, in a folder of that site such as www.mybusiness.com/directory. In Settings > Domain Manager, choose My WordPress website to get a license key, then enter it in the Brilliant Directories plugin for WordPress. The WordPress website stays with its own host, and the directory keeps running on Brilliant Directories. See Settings » Domain Manager » Connect a WordPress Website.

Run WordPress on a subdomain

WordPress can also run as a separate website on a subdomain of the same domain, such as blog.yourdomain.com. Host it either with an upgraded plan from WordPress.com, or with a separate web hosting account that runs the free self-hosted version of WordPress.

Some popular web hosts include:

  • Bluehost.com
  • Arvixe.com
  • 1and1.com
  • GoDaddy.com
