We made updates to several default widgets this week. If you customized any of these widgets and want to update them, you can find the latest code in the corresponding default widget. Please remember that if you have a custom version of any of these widgets, the latest updates will not be pushed to your website.


  • Released a new Account area in the Admin where each Admin can manage their own login. Profile details such as name, phone, company, timezone, photo, email signature and social links can now be edited there, the password can be changed from the same place, and notifications can now be set per delivery channel - website, desktop and mobile - either for all websites at once or website by website. In addition, a website owner can now grant another email address Billing and Support access to their websites from the same area. Along with this, the handling of Admin login sessions was hardened.

  • Improved the Google Maps alert in the Admin so it now reports the exact problem Google returned, such as billing not being enabled, a restricted referrer or an API that was never turned on, instead of one generic message for every case. Both the website key and the server-side key used for member geocoding are now checked, and the key is also tested on the website's own domain so the result reflects what visitors actually see. In addition, the website key, the server key and the New Google Maps Places API switch can now be edited and validated from inside the alert, and a key Google rejects is not saved. 

  • Improved the domain connection wizard in the Domain Manager in the Admin so connecting a root domain now shows the recommended instructions for that domain's DNS provider: domain forwarding for GoDaddy and an ALIAS record for Namecheap, with the A record kept only as the fallback for other providers.

  • Improved the SSL tab of the Domain Manager in the Admin. The SSL tab now shows the date a managed certificate renews instead of only stating that it renews on its own, an SPF record that repeats the same entry is now reported as a problem instead of being accepted as correct, and the Point Domain step now names the service that actually hosts the domain's DNS rather than always naming the registrar.
  • Fixed three issues in the Domain Manager in the Admin: the notice explaining that the www prefix had been removed from the typed domain was never visible, the summary reported that everything looked good while the Emails tab showed rows that needed attention, and three messages pointed to an Emails screen that does not exist.

  • Added the Member Credit balance as a selectable field when exporting members from the Admin.

  • Added live validation to the Additional CSS field under Design Settings in the Admin. Errors such as a missing closing brace are now highlighted while the CSS is being edited, before they can affect how the website renders.

  • Updated the code editor fields used across the Admin, including in the Design Settings, the page and email template editors, the robots.txt editor and the Post Types field editor, to a newer version.

  • Added an optional cancellation reason when ending a member's subscription in the Admin. The reason is now stored together with the cancellation, and it can also be entered when cancelling from the Transactions page.

  • Improved the speed of member search results on websites with large member databases by removing an unnecessary duplicate-removal step from the search query whenever the search cannot return duplicate members.

  • Started a UI design update for the Admin, starting with a new side menu and header and a rebuilt 301 Redirect Rules page in the Developer Hub. Admin pages that have not been converted yet keep their current appearance.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the image options popup in the Froala Editor to open about one screen below the clicked image when a member edited an article in the Member Dashboard, which put the Alternate Text control out of reach until the page was scrolled.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented some images from loading on websites using an image CDN.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented support tickets from being listed in the Admin when the Admin's login email contained a plus sign.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a request for a single record on the API to report the totals and paging of the whole table, which made integrations read the response as a list instead of one record.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the member category CSV import in the Admin to silently drop a sub-category whose name was exactly two characters long and move its sub-sub-category up to take its place.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented a saved automatic sitemap update schedule from being installed on some websites, so the sitemap stopped rebuilding on the chosen frequency and the tool reported automatic updates as turned off.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Login Date in Show Active Sessions in the Admin to be displayed in Pacific time instead of the website's own timezone.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the structured data (schema) on public pages to report a last modified date of the first day of the current month on every page, and to claim a last reviewed date for a review that never took place. Pages now report the date the listing, post or page was actually last saved, and the last reviewed date was removed.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Form Manager in the Admin to keep the previous Primary Key after the database table that submissions post to was changed and saved.

  • Fixed an issue that caused deleting a member through the API to leave that member's Photo Album tag records behind in the website database.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a county chosen as a service area to be saved in the city field while the county field was left empty, which prevented that service area from being matched correctly in location searches.

  • Fixed an issue that caused SVG files to fail with a server error in the Media Manager, and caused a member's post image in the same format to be saved and then removed, leaving a broken image on the post.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Edit buttons on the Lead Settings page in the Admin to open an empty screen instead of the lead action settings, which prevented the lead notification email templates from being edited.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Ready to Activate tab in the account area to display a date of Dec 31, 1969 on websites that have no start date.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a member or post title containing a double quote or angle brackets to break the links and image descriptions on search results and profile listings.
