New Features


  • Released a new Advanced Setting, "Auto-Save Drafts". Disabling this setting turns off the automatic draft-saving system for page edits in the Admin. The feature is enabled by default.

  • Released support for push notifications in the Brilliant Directories mobile app. Admins can now receive alerts on their mobile devices — such as payment notifications — that open the corresponding website and screen when tapped.

  • Released a new "Listing Social Meta Image" field in the Admin’s Edit Member form, allowing Admins to set a dedicated social share image for an individual member’s profile page.

  • Added API support for sending member notification emails on demand. A new endpoint sends any member email template to a specific member, and member updates now accept a notification flag that triggers the matching email. 

  • Released a separate set of free trial settings for member upgrades on Membership Plans — "Enable Free Trial Period (Plan Changes)", "Number of Free Trial Days (Plan Changes)" and "Free Trial Additional Options (Plan Changes)" — so free trials can now be configured independently for new sign-ups and for upgrades. These settings are available when the Free Trials Add-On is active.

  • Updated the "Members Imported / Added / Updated / Deleted Via Admin" webhooks to include the member's Subscription ID and subscription plan name in the payload.

  • Updated the Froala WYSIWYG editor used across the platform to the latest version, improving stability and security.

  • Improved the security of the Member Profile Statistics Add-On by adding stricter validation of tracked click data and safer display of statistics in the Member Dashboard.

  • Fixed an issue that caused auto-saved drafts from one website to be offered on a different website when an Admin managed multiple websites.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the main newsletter editor to close when closing the image upload window while replacing an image in the AI Newsletter Creator in the Admin.

  • Fixed an issue that caused custom web pages to be marked as not indexable by search engines in some cases, even when the page's no-index setting was disabled.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Stripe credentials from being saved in the Admin in some cases. The system now displays a clear error message and automatically resolves the underlying problem.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the canonical and Open Graph URLs on post category pages to contain malformed characters in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented SSL certificates from being installed for a site when one of its additional subdomains failed validation. The system now automatically excludes the failing domain and retries the installation.

  • Added delivered and bounced tracking details for addresses that were added as CC and BCC recipients to the Activity column in the Email Outbox.

  • Updated the members API so that changing a member's profile URL now automatically creates a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new one, matching the existing system behavior, with an option to skip the redirect when needed.

  • Improved the widgets API so it now only returns widgets compatible with the current version of the software.

  • Updated the Sub Accounts section of the Member Dashboard to display a "Publish Your First Sub Account" prompt when a member has not created any sub accounts yet.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed emails sent from public website forms to use a visitor-supplied sender name and email address in some cases; these emails now always use the website's own sender information.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented WebP post images from displaying in social media share previews when the Front-End Optimization setting "Use Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Images" is enabled in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that caused member reviews to display HTML character codes instead of readable text when editing a review in the Admin.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Google Map on member profile pages from loading automatically in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the member search in the Admin to return no results when combining a member tag filter with a photo or logo filter.

  • Improved the Draft system used when editing pages in the Admin, including a clearly visible "Discard draft" button.

  • Updated the way embedded YouTube videos start on mobile devices so that tapping the video thumbnail now begins playback with sound instead of muted. Desktop playback is unchanged.

  • Improved the mobile rendering of the default email template so that emails display at the correct size and with the correct typography in Apple Mail on iOS, the Gmail mobile app and Outlook.

  • mproved the security of the Categories management page in the Admin by strictly validating every value used to build its database queries.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a member's paid recurring order to remain active and keep billing their card after they switched themselves to a free plan, in cases where the member had more than one product on their billing account.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a member's save in the Member Dashboard to be silently discarded, with no error shown, when a form field had validation enabled and the String Length limits were left blank in the Form Builder.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a previous visitor's claim listing message to keep appearing on the checkout page of a shared device, because the claim listing information was not cleared when logging out or logging in.

  • Fixed an issue that caused every Sub Account listing to display the same favorites count. In addition, fixed an issue that caused a single saved member to mark all of that member's post favorite buttons as already saved on profile pages.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the location search fields on the frontend of sites to use the street number as the ZIP code when a visitor selected an exact street address in the location field.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Sitemap Generator in the Admin to report that no sitemap exists even after a sitemap was generated successfully, when the website's sitemap contained a single file.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the generated sitemap to include URLs for pages that no longer resolve to a live page in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the API to return a success response when adding or removing a member tag using the tag name instead of its numeric ID, without the tag actually being added or removed. Tag names are now accepted and resolved automatically.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the member update endpoint of the API to store HTML code in member fields without cleaning it, while the member creation endpoint already removed it.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed an Admin User with a restricted role to open an Admin page they were not granted access to by adding an extra parameter to the page URL.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the website's private payment gateway credentials to be recorded in the billing activity log every time a payment was processed.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the reCAPTCHA on the default login form from activating when a member navigated and submitted the form using the keyboard.

  • Fixed an issue that caused a member’s profile URL to be rewritten when the member was updated through the API even though the "If checked, the system will not auto-update this URL when new changes are saved to the member’s name, category or location." option was enabled. The system now respects that option and keeps the member’s existing filename.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the member tags associated with a member to remain in the database after the member was deleted.

  • Fixed an issue that caused country pages whose name contains a comma, such as "Korea, Republic of", to generate links that led to a "Page Not Found" error.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the "Fetch and Resize" action on Member Images page in the Admin to save a broken profile image URL.

  • Fixed an issue that caused listings added to a site via Business Data Import to display garbled descriptions when written in non-Latin alphabets such as Cyrillic.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the "Block Traffic by Country" list from being cleared in Admin > Settings > General Settings > Localization, so removing every country and saving is now stored correctly.

  • Fixed an issue that caused certain homepage sections to display at full width when they should not.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented members from saving their profile details on websites with the "India Stripe Account Accept International Payments" setting enabled, where a required State/Province check intended only for checkout was also applied to the member profile form.

  • Fixed an issue that caused API responses to be marked as cacheable for 30 days on some servers, which could allow private data to be served again.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented category and sub-category pages with a nested URL path from being created through the API.

  • Improved front-end page loading speed: a JavaScript library that was previously loaded on every page of the website is now loaded only on the pages that actually use it.

  • In all, over 90 feature enhancements and software updates were released this month.
